Pax Hominis is a monologue for theatre – played by Sabri Saad El Hamus – in which a man speaks up for mankind. A hommage to all his success stories, failures and crimes. Humour predominates and wisdom is unmasked. ‘A fascinating, bizarre self-portrait of man as performer', according to the NRC Handelsblad. The monologue is based on the text De Mensheid zij geprezen by Arnon Grunberg, a satirical retort to Erasmus' Lof der Zotheid. Directed by Gerardjan Rijnders.
